- Voyager slowly leaves the Solar System -
Exactly 13 December, after 33 years of mission and 17.4 billion km from the Sun, Voyager 1 reached a distance which no longer appears to be moving solar wind.
probe Voyager 1 is moving away from the sun at a speed of 17082 km / s, or 61495 km / h. In the year 40272, Voyager 1 will pass the star AC 79 3888 in the constellation.
Voyager 2 probe away at a speed of 15524 km / s, or 55886 km / h. Around 40,176 years Voyager 2 will pass the star Ross 248 in the constellation Andromeda, and for about 294,000 years it will be the brightest star in Earth's sky - Sirius in the constellation of the Great Dog.
refreshing:)
